The Story So Far... 3

The Carisma Annual Meeting for 2006 was held on December 11 at The Saltshaker, Moss Side. Report and photo here.

September 28: Carisma orgnised a breakfast-time consultation meeting with Stephen Timms MP. Stephen (second from the right in the photo) is a cabinet minister as Chief Secretary to the Treasury - Gordon Brown's #2, and iis conducting a 'Comprehensive Spending Review', which will include looking at how local community and voluntary projects are funded.

A number of activists from Moss Side attended and we had a positive discussion - even though a lot of it was about problems small organisations or individuals have in accessing funding and the short-term nature of most funding schemes.

June 15: Carisma Chair Erinma Bell and husband Raymond are invited to the Queen's 80th celebrations in London - a service at St Paul's Cathedral, followed by lunch at Buckingham Palace.
Claire is now Mrs Trivino!
